This committee generally meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 at the Swim and Tennis Club. It addresses issues outside of Rancho Bernardo that may have an affect on us (e.g. Lake Hodges; Airport; High Speed Rail) and issues that are beyond the scope of any one committee (e.g.; Community Plan and City General Plan).

An Ad Hoc Committee of the Regional Issues Committee will meet to discuss the revised General Plan Update. Date: Thursday, October 11, 2007 Time: 6:00 PM Location: Home of Lee Okeson (12405 Grandee Rd., Rancho Bernardo) Purpose: To review and make recommendations to the Planning Board regarding the recently revised City of San Diego General Plan Update. The recommendations will be presented to the Planning Board at its regular meeting on October 18. For More Information: The revised version of the General Plan Update is available on-line at http://www.sandiego.gov/planning/genplan/index.shtml. Regional Issues Agenda for Tuesday, May 1
Item 1 – Final Recommendation on the Facilities Financing Plan
Item 2 – Substantial Conformance Procedures at the City of San Diego (Recommendations for Improvement of the Current Process)
Item 3 – Vision Plan/Community Plan Update – Brainstorming on what processes should be considered in developing a vision for the community and then how to find funding to help pay for a plan update.
Item 4 – General Discussion Issues
Please note that the April 3, 2007 Regional Issues meeting has been postponed due to a lack of a quorum and a lack of a final draft Facilities Financing Plan. We will reschedule in the next day or two, hopefully for Tuesday April 10. I will get back to you as soon as possible with the revised date, time, and location.
